Aside from the shock of the price, we were amazed that our server didn't seem to be well informed about where the abalone came from. We inquired about the market price for the abalone-$110(!). ( however, 20 min later 4 men were seated 2 tables over. Certainly, dining mid-week, in low season, at an early hour (6pm as sunset was to be at 6:30) made it fairly easy to accomodate our "quiet/nice view" request. When we arrived the host wished us a happy anniversary and did seat us at a nice table by. We made reservations a few weeks in advance requesting quiet table and noted we were celebrating an anniversary. We went to 19 to celebrate an anniversary.
